📖 Some Fun Genres.

Hackquire Blog Home

The team at Hackquire™ knows that the book belongs to the non-fiction, career development, and professional skills genres. However, as we mention on our genre page, we suggest two additional genres: the BS avoidance book genre and the rubber ball book genre. Here's some notes on what other new (faux) genres could work. Just for lols.

Below is a quick index of the faux genres below:

  1. Ambiflextrous Books.

  2. BS Avoidance Books.

  3. Dual Oculars Books.

  4. Dual Screen Books.

  5. Rubber Ball Books

  6. Sandwich Books.

  7. Umbrella Books.

  8. Weightful Books.

  9. X-Ray Books.

  10. Zebra Books.

1/10. Ambiflextrous Books:

These books can be read with both hands, one hand, or a mix of single and dual hand use. They are especially popular in offices or creative studios where hands might be occupied with writing on Post-it notes, using fidget spinners (a nod to the old school), or sipping a $24.99 specialty coffee called 'Lightning Latte Light.'

2/10. BS Avoidance Books:

These books tend to glow when BS is nearby. The color scale starts with 'Mystic Mauve' and, as the BS level increases, shifts to 'Loan Orange.' When the BS level is at its highest, it transforms into 'Vortex Violet.' Be careful taking them to a DIY store, especially aisle 12 where the drills are—the book shines very bright. Aisle 12 is known as the 'Loan Zone.'

3/10. Dual Oculars Books:

These are books that can be read from many angles, from any perspective. They are optimized to work from a 10° reading angle all the way to a 180° reading angle. This reading angle design is called 'From Bed to Boardroom,' meaning that no matter what angle you're at while reading, the text is easy to comprehend.

4/10. Dual Screen Books:

Dual Screen books are designed to be opened up so that both pages, whether on the left or right, can be easily read. They are based on the Oculus Theory of Readability, developed by Dr. Peppered von Lexicon. Their team discovered that when text is written with a high-contrast background, it’s much easier to read.

5/10. Rubber Ball Books:

Rubber Ball Books books boast impressive resilience, scoring a remarkable 0.85 on the Coefficient of Restitution (COR) scale, a measure used by scientists to evaluate how well something bounces. The initial tests gave the Hackquire™ book a COR score of 0.98.

6/10. Sandwich Books:

Sandwich books are a genre perfect for food breaks—even if it's with a bowl of Donkey Kong Junior Cereal, E.T. Cereal, Gremlins Cereal or Mr. T Cereal. These non-fiction books are tailored for working professionals, focusing on career development and professional skills. They also absorb falling tomato chunks well. Bad ads, we know.

7/10. Umbrella Books:

Umbrella books are a genre made for bad weather. These non-fiction books help working professionals by boosting their career development and professional skills. They’re designed for those moments when the weather turns, impacting your commute, traffic, or route home. Perfect for pulling out and reading—just not while driving.

8/10. Weightful Books:

Weightful books have the right weight for any bag. A key set weighs about 2.8 oz (80 g), so the Hackquire™ hardback books would weigh about the same as 6 key sets, 1-3 packs of wet wipes, 192 tubes of mascara, 2 to 3 power banks, a reusable water bottle, or 12 to 15 sunglasses cases. That’s Hackquire Hardback Air™.

9/10. X-Ray Books:

X-Ray books are a genre of books that help professionals with their career development and skills by allowing people to hold the book up, like a pair of Hoffman lenses from the 1988 retro film They Live, and see the gray-area hacks of the working world—no matter how many years of experience they have.

10/10. Zebra Books:

Zebra books are a genre of books that exist to finish a list with a ‘Z’ so the titles of the pages flow in alphabetical order. They are used when a team working on a book needs to update a blog post but has to get back to working on the book, so they wrap up the post with a ‘Z’.
